Marketing encompasses all the activities associated with providing your service to the consumer.  It includes advertisings, sales, and ultimately delivering your service as ordered.  Many people believe that marketing is just about advertising or sales.
 
However, marketing is everything your union does to acquire customers and maintain a relationship with them.  Even the small tasks like writing thank-you letters, returning calls promptly or meeting a former employer for coffee can be thought of as marketing.  Because Advertising is such a large part of your overall marketing strategy we have created it's own navigation section above, and we'll detail the following elements here:
